Our little Chlobugs is 8! Wow, where did the

last 8 years go? I just love this little

girl and so thankful for her sweet spirit and

tender heart. God has truly blessed our family and entrusted

us to raise Chloe up to love and honor Him. We pray she will

do just that with her life!

Nana Deb and Popper, Cooper, and I went to eat lunch with Chloe

and take some special birthday treats for the class.

Super Cooper is 3!

We had such a fun little birthday party yesterday with a couple of

his little friends.

Cowboy was the theme!

Look at that cake! My sweet friend Kelly offered to make it for me.

She is amazing! Thanks Kelly!

The little cowboys and cowgirls ate pigs-n-blankets and macaroni and cheese!

We also played a little game of pin the tail on the horse (donkey)!

It was pretty interesting with six 2-4 year olds!

Cooper loved opening his presents! He sure got the hang of it by the end!

What sweet little friends he has to bring him such nice gifts.

Fun was had by all!

Especially our little 3 year old Cowboy!

We enjoyed a trip to the pumpkin patch a couple weekends ago!

What fun we had....

We found one for $95! WOW!

Gotta love Walmarts $4.50 pumpkins and the kids

As I interviewed Cambpell on this morning of his 9th birthday I asked him What do

you want to be when you get big?

He says "a pro football player but if I have to retire early, a doctor!"

I had to share this picture of him b/c it goes along well with the story of the day

I went into labor with him, which he LOVES to hear.

Daddy had just gotten back to the school after coaching his football game.

He and Coach Greene were in the parking lot listening to college football

games on the radio.

Mommy called Daddy telling him I think the baby is coming!

Daddy said no way, it is 2 weeks early, so he continued to hang out with

Coach Greene and listen to that game on the radio.

When Daddy came home Mommy said really the baby is coming.

So daddy drove us to the hospital...it was a long way....20 minutes.

Guess, what? Mommy was right!

Our first child was born and life has never been sweeter!

Football has begun!

Not only for Oz but Campbell

is playing this year.

My life right now revolves around FOOTBALL!

We had a fun weekend filled with football.

Oz had his 1st scrimmage Friday night.

We had a rough game....but it was only a scrimmage,

RIGHT?.....Only if Oz felt that way!

At least these two don't care about the scoreboard!

Daddy needs these smiling faces!

On Saturday we had a full afternoon at

Campbell's jamboree. This is a practice

day where each team plays four 20 minute games with

different teams in the league.
Campbell did a great job and had a blast.
He was even wishing the day wasn't over!

I've gotta say.....I was ready for the
day to be over! It was HOT and Cooper needed
a nap in a BAD way!
but....I would not have wanted to be anywhere else!

Chloe's big night!

Last night was an exciting night for Chloe.......

She got baptized!

Chloe asked Jesus in heart last summer and has been asking to get baptized ever since!

When she heard Pastor Johnny was baptizing Sunday night she said

"I want Pastor Johnny to baptize me"!

So she did!

Oz and I are so excited for her decision to follow Jesus!

We pray that she will love and serve Him with all

her heart!

What a joy to share this special day with her!

I have no greater joy than to hear my children are walking in the truth.

Big bubby and sissy are in Illinois with cuz' Jessie.

We sure do miss them but

Daddy is busy with football and camps this week.

It has been quiet and slightly enjoyable.

But also my heart is a little empty

without those other four little arms

hugging on my neck!

Thankful for the time to enjoy Cooper and my hubby this week

but

thankful for my children and missing the smiles they

put on my face.

They come home tonight!

Hearing their little feet running around and their giggling

can't come soon enough!

Well, it happened AGAIN.....

Campbell broke his arm for the 3rd

time. yes, I said 3rd!
Not only is it his 3rd time,
but his 3rd time breaking both bones in his left arm,

and the 2ND time at SCHOOL, on
the playground!

So here is the happenings illustrated by a fellow classmate.....

Translation: During recess, Campbell was being chased and decided to jump off the slide and landed on his left arm and broke it and his arm really did look like the drawing.

Campbell's teacher came by to visit and brought him cards that his classmates made for him and also a stuffed otter and t-shirt from the zoo field trip he missed.

He was soooo disappointed about missing the field trip!

So Campbell decided to write his class a thank-you card:

We have made a big break through......
Chloe was able to write her own birthday thank-you's this year! Maybe she could have before but I just may have got smarter!

Sunday afternoon we sat outside and she wrote hers and I wrote Cooper's. OK, OK I know his birthday was last month but hey I'm busy!

So look in the mail for yours to come! She worked hard and even spelled most of her words correctly!

Yes, I know it has been a while since my last post but life has been busy.

Ya know like going to the BEACH!

Oh what fun we had! We went to Miami to visit my sister and her family. What a great week we had playing with the cousins.

Hez and I got to get out and get our Anthropologie fix and do some other shopping.

The daddy's were so good to stay home (watch ESPN) and monitor the kids! What good hubby's we have.

The week went fast but we enjoyed our time relaxing at the beach and hanging out with family.

Can't wait til' next time!

Now it is time to finish all that laundry

and get ready for Cuz' Jessie to come.....Yeah!!!!!

Oh, and we have a little girl who will be

turning 7 this week.

She has NEVER waxed or done much to her eyebrows.

So she agreed to come with me to the mall yesterday

and get her eyebrows threaded. I am a veteran

at getting my brows threaded, waxed...you name it

I've done it. I'm obsessed with the neatness of

my furry eyebrows.

Anyways.....she was a good sport and it was hilarious to watch and listen to her!

Cooper is still not talking alot yet. He is really starting to try. I know, I know we really need to take that passy away but he loves it and we sure love it when he's cranky and sleeping!

It's so cute, lately he is obsessed with watching blue's clue's and he always tries to sing the song along with Steve and says "Think, Think, Think" and puts his hands on each cheek like Steve does. Cracks us up! I can actually understand him when he says his version of blue's clue's.

See, he is coming along. Who needs a speech therapist?!? We will see what the pediatrician says at his 2 yr check up since she recommended speech therapy at 18 mnths. Why would Cooper want to talk when he has 2 older siblings that do it all for him?

Ahhh the joys of being the youngest child..... just like his daddy!

Chloe asked me to put sponge rollers in her hair after her bath.
She likes to wear rollers b/c that means we

don't have to blow dry her hair.

She has alot of thick hair so it takes a long time

to dry it. We don't let her go to bed with it

wet b/c she would wake up with wet,nappy hair.

She is so cute in her little aqua rollers. It reminds me of

my Grandma Edith. She use to wrap her hair

in toliet paper every night before bed.

I never thought it was wierd b/c

I just thought that's what Grandma's did, ya

know to keep their hair looking nice.

Oh, I miss my Grandma. She was the best.

Campbell bought some star wars lego's with Christmas money

from Trooper and Nanny.

Somehow he almost

had Chloe convinced to buy some too with her money.

She is all girl, she opted for polka-dot flip flops.

How was your love weekend??? We enjoyed ours!

Oz and I enjoyed dinner at PF Changs and a little shopping on Friday night. We were beating the Valentines rush. PF Changs was oh so yummy.....it was our 1st time.

And then we went off to browse at Anthropologie,

I browsed while Ozzie read a book.
He waited for me patiently.

It has been a little while...........

I guess I've been uninspired?...not motivated?....pre-occupied?....

I sense a change is coming in the Price's life.

Change so soon?????

I usually love change. I find it exciting and fun but it is

the waiting and wondering and praying

that gets tiresome.

The head football coach where Oz is teaching/coaching is leaving.

Oz is interviewing for the head job (2nd interview today)

He is also interviewing at another school.

A new coach can come and bring his own staff....

Will he keep Oz? Will Oz want to stay?

So many unanswered questions.

We just so want to do what the Lord has for us.

Where Oz can be most effective in his ministry.

I pray we stay around here. I love it,

the kids love it.

Great friends

Great neighborhood

Great schools

Awesome church

But it isn't in our hands. Right?

and that is what is comforting....God knows

and as long as we seek to please and serve him

everything else will fall into place.

My home is not defined by where I live....

my home is where my family is!

To stumble upon this the other night just makes my heart glad...........................

Just reading his bible and underlining verses from his Awana book. I just couldn't tell him to turn off his little reading light and tell him to go to sleep.........he was reading his BIBLE!

Oh how I pray he will soak in these precious words and retain them and be able to recall them when he is tempted to do wrong or wanting to be like the crowd or needing comfort or leading a friend to the Lord.

and this makes my heart even gladder.......is that a word?

Muffins

Just thought I'd share a yummy muffin recipe per request by a couple of ya......

Strawberry-Banana Muffins

Ingredients: 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted (I use salted butter)
3/4 cup light brown sugar
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 cup)
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries (cut into small pieces)
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line muffins pan with paper liners

Melt butter and set aside.

In a medium sized bowl whisk together the brown sugar, eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas. Add the melted butter to the brown sugar mixture and stir to combine.

In another large bowl combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Gently fold in the berries, making sure they are coated with flour. This helps to prevent the berries from sinking during baking. Do not over mix or the berries will end up coloring the batter. Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir only until the ingredients are just combined. Do not over mix the batter or tough muffins will result.

Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full of batter. Place in the oven and bake until a tester inserted in the center of muffin comes out clean, 20-25 minutes.

Makes 12 regular sized muffins.

Last night Oz and I got to go on a little date.

A FREE date!

We went to see the movie Fireproof.

Our little munchkins were entertained with a movie and games for free.........................

Our popcorn and candy and soda and even the Fireproof book......Free.............

Where was all this FREE stuff you ask??!!! Our wonderful church, First Baptist Church Woodstock. They showed the movie in the Chapel. The foyer was all set up like a movie theater with popcorn machines, candy, soda. It smelled like a movie theater and all!

Now the movie was awesome and even made you laugh. We really enjoyed it and highly recommend it to all married couples.

We give the movie Fireproof 2 thumbs up!!!!!!

So I was thinking last night............................................

after I sat through a meal where my boys (Campbell and even his daddy) were doing boy things at the dinner table. If you don't know what boy things are just guess......yes, you guessed it right!. Now I don't want to make it sound like this happens every meal b/c we do teach and stress the importance of good manners....but last night...Manners? What manners?

So that got me thinking how thankful I am the Lord gave me a girl to endure these boy things with!

As I have taken down the Christmas decor and have been doing a little re-decorating I have noticed that I have gotten quite the little collection of birds..........................

Even down to a box of Kleenex!

I don't know what it is lately, I can just hear their little cute selves chirping at me saying "come look at me. Aren't I cute? You need me in your home."

The only thing I can figure is I have always wanted to fly!

What a long week. Oz has been in Nashville for the last 4 days at a football convention. So I have been a single mom for the last few long days.

I am so thankful for my other half. I need him, the kids need him. I don't know how single parents do it.

I just noticed by the last couple of days how my patience seemed thin, my exhaustion, lack of compassion, and just the inability to make one more decision. I was getting a little discouraged with myself as a mom.

And then he comes home..................

And fills in the pieces that I have been lacking in...................

We have had a wonderful Christmas season with visits from Oz's family and my family! Lots of yummy food, games, shopping, and family time.

I have neglected blogging since I have been busy entertaining and now it is time to say good bye to all the Christmas decorations. My goal this week is to take it all down and do major cleaning and organizing, so basically I will neglect my blog again this week to get my house in tip top shape!

The kids and I baked some cookies for Chloe's class Christmas party. We made holiday wreaths and chocolate covered pretzels. (thanks Sara and Beth for the recipes) They were yummy and alot of fun for the kids to decorate. Let me just warn you if you decide to make these..........be prepared to be stepping on sprinkles for days!

It has already been one of those mornings. I have given myself the bad mother of the year award. It is only 9 a.m. and just couldn't listen to Cooper's whinning any more. So, I gave in and let him have the chocolate covered pretzel he has been spying since he woke up.

Girls Night Out

Oz and I are trying to have some one-on-one time with the kids, so Friday night Oz took Campbell to a play-off football game and Chloe and I went to get her hair cut and get a little manicure.

Chloe's cute new haircut. She says she wants her hair short like mama's. I will enjoy the fact she wants to look like me now b/c in a few years it will probably be the furthest thing from her mind.

Chloe got to pick out any color she wanted. I was glad she picked pink instead of the blue and orange one she was debating about. I just bit my tongue and said whatever one you want!

Then we hit Mellow Mushroom for some yummy pizza.

And then of course we did a little shopping. The kids were getting a little tired so Chloe ended up in the basket.

So on the way home from our fun little night our conversation went a little like this........

Mom: Thanks a bunch for having a girls night with me.

Christmas Cheer?

I have been super busy since we have been back from Indianapolis with unpacking, the never ending pile of laundry, and putting up the Christmas tree and the decorations.

I don't know about you but I remember as a kid the excitment of helping my mom put the ornaments on the tree and thinking how pretty the tree looked. I remember the excitement of when she would pull out all the boxes of Christmas decorations and the transformation throughout our home of Christmas wonderland.

I loved those memories as a kid and so I have these grand ideas of making the same great memories for my own children. Well, I think I failed big time. So I turn on the Christmas music and pull in the tree and all the boxes of ornaments and the kids are so excited to start decorating. I'm excited too, but consumed with how pretty and flowy the tree needs to look. But to my 2 anxious children, they don't care if 2 red ornaments are right next to each other etc... so I feel I start to get cranky, Oz is working on the computer and not really helping us, and Cooper is whining and I'm like....Is this really fun? This is SO not what I planned it to be like. Why do I have to be so anal about how the tree looks? I kept telling myself just let the kids do this and when they go to bed I'll just move around the ornaments. I"m so mad at myself for feeling like this and I know the kids realized it especially b/c Campbell told me I could not help him and Chloe decorate their little tree. Ugh. Maybe next year I will get it right.

So I wondered how did my mom just let us do what we wanted and not care? Well she recently revealed to me her secret....she rearranged the tree after we went to bed! See I come by it naturally.

I fear I get to wrapped up in all the stuff that comes with the holidays....shopping, baking, decorating, Christmas cards, parties etc.....I really want to focus on the real meaning of Christmas, our Saviour's birth.... born to die for me, little ole' me. Thank you Lord for sending your son as a baby to die for my sins, forgive me for focusing on the little things that don't even matter. Help me to focus on you and instill that in my 3 precious children.

Thanksgiving break

We decided at the last minute (since the chiefs lost the playoff game and our fb season came to an end) to travel to Indy and Illinois to visit my parents and my sister and her family for thanksgiving break. Oz and the kids had the entire week off so we decided to head home.

The weekend prior to thanksgiving Oz's brother Steve and his family came to visit for the weekend and watch Oz's football game. We had a great time with them and the cousins had a blast playing.

On the 4th day of thanksgiving break this is what we did.....we celebrated thanksgiving day and stuffed our faces and watched football.

What a great time we had with everyone reminiscing and making new memories. Thanks so much Mom and Dad and Mark and Jenna for putting us up for the week. We love you and miss you already! Now it is your turn to come visit us!

I've been tagged by my sister! I am so not good at doing this. It is like a big report due just looming over my head. I was tagged a few weeks ago by my friend Heidi and I still haven't done it so lets just say this one will be for the both. O.K.? Deal!

So here it goes.....................

Let me just admit I didn't follow the rules completely. I just bought a new camera so I have no files yet so I just closed my eyes and pulled out a random CD and here is what I got.

This picture just makes me all emotional. The kids came to the hospital to welcome their new little brother into our family! I remember it so vividly. Cooper was born on March 8th 2007. He was a whopping 9#1 ounce. So in this pic Campbell was 6 and Chloe was 4. What a special day. I just love the look on Chloe's face, just amazed, excited, and already so in love with her little brother. Now that is PRICEless!

Just an update. We WON the playoff game on Friday! 34-16 So now we are off to round #2 on Friday night. Thankfully the game isn't near as far as last week. We drove to Athens which is a 2 hour drive. Yes I know, I am a dedicated wife! We love cheering on our Chiefs and our coach!

This weekend was full of football for the Price family. Well I guess I should say fuller than the normal weekend stuff. Oz was able to get FREE tickets to the Falcons game on Sunday so he and Travis took the older kids along with some of the football players. They had a blast, unfortunately the Falcons lost. What an exciting day for Campbell and Chloe to hang out all day with their daddy and go to a NFL football game.

Playoffs here we come!

Tonight is our first playoff game! Let me tell you my hubby did not sleep last night. He was up around 5:30 this morning and decided to just head up to school. The Chiefs have had a great season this year. We are 9-1! A great stride from last year, for sure. Personally, I think it all has to do with the new defensive coordinator! I will let you in on a little secret.....I have a crush on him. He is so cute. Let me share a few picture of him in action.

This time of the year is so bittersweet. If they lose tonight the season is over but if they win, they will keep playing each week until they lose. So this could go on til mid December. Do you see my dilemma. I want them to win b/c they have worked so stinkin hard to get this far but man I miss my husband and I'm so ready to have his help around here again. Don't get me wrong, when he is home he is very helpful but he doesn't come home until 7:00 and he even has to work on the weekends. So we just miss him. But I really do want them to WIN!

Attitude of Gratitude #5

Meet my little sister Jenna. She is a mom of 3 precious little children, a wife, and a photographer.

Jenna just kinda discovered her gift of photography a few years ago. She wanted pictures of her growing children, so she would just set up little back drops in her living room and snap away. Well she got really good at it and people started asking her to do photos of their own children and then their friends children and word got around. Now she has her own little business Daily Life Photography.

I am so thankful for her special gift b/c she has helped capture precious moments of my own 3 children I could have never gotten myself. I just so enjoy looking at all my photos in my home and just smile and think back to those special memories.......Campbell's missing front teeth, Chloe's chubby little cheeks, Cooper's precious newborn hands and feet. Each photo just tugs on my heart in different ways.

Jenna always is willing to lug all her photo equipment at my demands and snap pics of my kids for FREE! Now how awesome is that. No, don't you expect it too! That is my special privilege of being her big sis. I consider it a privilege to be her big sis and I love her soooo much. I am so thankful that my sisters are my best friends! I just wish we all lived next door to each other or maybe at least in the same state!

Let me tell you, he thinks he is pretty cool with his new braces. He just can't quit looking at himself in the mirror. It is actually pretty funny! The ortho told us a few weeks ago there would be a possibility of braces and Campbell has been hoping ever since that it would come true! He chose the gold and black rubber bands for his daddy's football team.

I just can't get use to his new smile. It kinda makes me feel sad b/c he just looks so grown up. :(

Ladies, grab your apron and roll up your sleeves. You have to try this new rotisserie chicken recipe we had today for our Sunday afternoon meal! Thanks to my friend Heidi who gave me this delicious recipe, the spices, and the roasting pan to borrow (mine is still in a box in the garage). Yes, I did make the chicken. This was my first attempt to make a whole chicken. It was scary, especially when I opened up the chicken and saw a bag of giblets in its you know what. I took a few deep breaths and put my hand inside and pulled it out. It wasn't that bad.

Here is the yummy recipe...............

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Ingredients:

4 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon white pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 onions, quartered
2 (4 pound) whole chickens

Directions:

In a small bowl, mix together salt, paprika, onion powder, thyme, white pepper, black pepper, cayenne pepper, and garlic powder.Remove and discard giblets from chicken.Rinse chicken cavity, and pat dry with paper towel.Rub each chicken inside and out with spice mixture.Place 1 onion into the cavity of each chicken.Place chickens in a resealable bag or double wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate overnight, or at least 4 to 6 hours.Preheat oven to 250 degrees.Place chickens in a roasting pan.Bake uncovered for 5 hours, to a minimum internal temperature of 180 degrees F (85 degrees C). Let the chickens stand for 10 minutes before carving

I rubbed melted butter inside and outside of the chicken before I rubbed with the spices. It is a great Sunday meal b/c all the prep work is done the night before and it cooks while you are at church.

O.K., I am getting crafty in my ole ripe age of 34! Maybe I have to be crafty b/c I'm trying so hard to be thrifty. I see things I like and I can't afford it so why not figure out how to make it! Right?

So, I'm always looking for ways to stay organized and on top of the kids various activities. I want things to be functional but also cute.

I bought this regular ole cork board at IKEA for like $4. Then I decided to paint the trim around it a funky green.

I found this darling fabric at Hobby Lobby and just stapled it onto the cork board.

I would recommend a crafting stapler and not a desk stapler like I used. Let me just say I was getting a little frustrated with the bending of my staples.

Anyways, I also found little jewels in the scrapbooking section and hot glued them on plain gold tacks I already had at home. They just look much cuter.

So this whole project cost me about $7.oo.

Now I feel cutely organized! Is that such a thing?

I love my "P" shrine. I just added 2 new "P"'s. I ordered the P on the mirror from Uppercase Living (Love, Love Uppercase living). My sweet friend Heather went on the hunt to Home Goods with me to find a mirror to put my P on and then she bought it for me for my birthday! My goal was to use the P somewhere I could take it with me since we live in a rental. Goal accomplished!
The 2nd P, leaning against the vase was a wedding gift from my friend Sara. It was gold and I spray painted it black. Just like I do everything else. I love my black spray paint!

You may be thinking I have a small obsession with the letter P. I call it a collection and you call it an obsession. I just think I am proud to be a Price and I'm showing it! How could I not love this man? He helps me with the dishes!

What a great fall day in Atlanta to go to the pumpkin patch. It was a perfect 60 degrees. Just cool enough to get a little bundled up and go on a hayride! What a fun way to spend a Sat afternoon. I will let you in on a little secret, shhhh, we only let the kids buy the ity bity pumpkins at the patch and then we go to Wal-mart and buy a big pumpkin for $3.

My new favorite thing this week is.........

I love cake stands! How much prettier does it look sitting on my counter than my old ugly tupperware. I think I would like to start a collection of cake stands. My mom always says a collection is at least 3 so I guess I need to find 2 more. Oh, how fun it will be to go to the antique store and hunt for my next cake stand! This one is not a vintage. I got it at Kohl's on sale last month. I've put cookies, brownies, muffins, and my latest creation a pumpkin cake. Ohhhh, it was tasty!

The only bad thing is you can see the delectable's just starring at you screaming "I know you want me, just eat me!" Who can resist a yummy sweet treat!

Today's attitude of gratitude is...........my older sis Heather! (I just have to emphasize the older)

This is the only picture I could find of Heather. Next time we are together we need some pics!

First off, I feel so blessed to have 2 wonderful sisters who are truly my best friends.

So, Hez and I were chatting on the phone the other day and I was complaining about how we had to fix the truck 2 times this month and I was feeling discouraged about our financial funds etc...She just said to me Heidi look at the blessings just this week God provided. 1. a poodle skirt for Chloe to wear on 50's day-a friend just loaned it to me and 2. my neighbor just gave me a printer/copier/scanner for our computer.

Thank-you Hez for the reminder of God's faithfulness and to be thankful for all our my blessings no matter how big or small the blessing may be! Thanks for always being positive and an encouragement! I really needed it this week. Love you and miss you so much!

Chloe celebrated the 50th day of 1st grade. What fun she had twirling in her poodle skirt. Every girls dream - a really twirly skirt! She had such a fun day....hop scotching, hola-hooping, silly puddy, and snacking! What fun it would have been to live in the 50's. I'm glad Chloe got a little slice of it!

Today was the day to go to the dreaded dentist! I hate (oops sorry kids, we don't use the

"H" word in the Price house) the dentist for many reasons.......cold air, cold water, scrapping, bleeding gums, they ask questions while their whole hand is in your mouth, expensive, do I really need a crown? You get my point! I'd rather get a pap smear than go to the dentist.

Well today was actually a pleasant experience at the dentist. Thanks Carol! She took the extra effort to make the cleaning of my sensitive teeth comfortable. She didn't use cold water or cold air! I will definitely go back in 6 months instead of 2 years. Dr. Tyler gave me a Rx for sensitive toothpaste. I didn't even know that existed! Also, no cavity!

Attitude of Gratitude #2

I am so thankful for Clayton and Betty Smith and Kyndra Smith. I do not have a photo of them but here is a photo of their blessing to us.

For those of you who may not know the story.....here is the rest of the story.......

In the spring of 2007 Oz and I felt it was the Lord's will for Oz to take a new job teaching and coaching in Georgia. We were excited to take on this new adventure and live where the climate was warm. So we put our house on the market and prayed it would sell quickly. We didn't know the Lord had planned to let our house sit for 13 long months but we were at peace knowing we were in His will and He had a perfect plan for us. In the meantime, July rolled around and Oz needed to be in Georgia to start football and so he moved and lived with the Thelen's (we are so thankful to these sweet people) and the kids and I stayed behind thinking the house would sell real soon and then we would all be together again.

July, August, September by this time we could not take the separation any longer and the Lord placed in our lives the Smiths! They offered for us to rent their home for a VERY cheap price until our house sold. We were so excited for this awesome gesture of kindness and packed up the family and moved. They offered for us to live in their furnished home-dishes and everything-so we left all our belongings in our home in Indy so the house would look "livable".

Praise the Lord our house sold at the end of May 2008 and here we are still living in the Smith's lovely home! They are so gracious to let us stay another year which is a complete blessing to us since the year of living in Ga and having a house in Indy was financially straining. God has been so good and has provided above and beyond our needs.

We are so thankful to the Smiths for being so kind to our family. Since they still have belongings in the home the sweetly call and ask if they can stop by the house and get something. I'm like sure anytime, it is your house! I feel bad that they have to ask to come in but they always tell us they are so thankful we live here so the house doesn't sit empty. What kind people to let us sit on their coach, drink from there cups, let 3 little, dirty fingered children run and play in their home. We have gotten to know the Smiths and I have just fallen in love with their family. What a great family with such a great sense of humor.

Sick again?!

Life with sick children. Let's see, a run down of my last 48 hrs............

-awakened at 4 am with a feverish Campbell ( which was so pitiful b/c he was apologizing for waking up daddy who had to get up for work soon ) Motrin given, all tucked back in to sleeping bag on our floor.

-get Chloe on bus....she wasn't to thrilled to go to school without her "big bubby"

-change a poopy diaper (this would be Cooper)

-give out more Tylenol

-watch cartoons ( and play some video games )ALL day with my sick child.

-change another poopy diaper

-take naps (best time of the day)

-more Motrin

-Chloe off bus....do homework, read books

-Go pick up a pizza.sick kids = great excuse to not cook! (Campbell crying in back seat b/c his head hurts)

-Yeah! daddy's home

-bedtime for kids

-clean salsa off the wall (yes Oz spilled or threw salsa on the yellow walls-I wish I had a camera for this one)

-run to wal-mart to prepare for another day to stay home

-awaken at 2 am now by Chloe burning with fever

-Motrin given, drink of water, tuck back into bed

-awaken at 2:15 by Campbell burning with fever....Motrin given, drink of water, tuck back in bed

-awaken at 3:30 with 2 sick children unable to fall asleep

-husband awake at 6, shower and off to work

-awaken by sick kids....more Motrin and cartoons started

-change poopy diaper...thankful he is not sick (yet)

-Chloe pucking-thankfully she made it to the toilet

-Tylenol given

-naps started

-wishing it wasn't football season-only today Oz sorry, still love you!

-lots of snuggling, back rubbing, hugs and kisses, noses wiped, words of affirmation

-wondering what my next 48 hrs will hold? I hope I can still go and get my haircut tomorrow night-Oz?

I will admit having sick kids is tiring and draining....but I'm reminded that it is only a season and thankfully they are usually very healthy children. Many moms out there do this 24/7 b/c their children have a life threatening illness. A few tough days this week.....once again I am thankful to have 2 sick little children to love and nurse back to health!

The kids were having fun doing Cooper's hair. They had the water bottle going and everything. He actually sat there and let the kids work their magic! Watching the kids do this brought back my own childhood beauty shop memories. My uncle Mark use to let me put his hair in lots of little rubber bands and do crazy stuff to his hair. I wish I had some pictures of that!

Well, I have decided to start a PRICEless memories ritual -Thursdays attitude of gratitude-of sharing with all 5 of you who read my blog someone who I am thankful for and why. It is also a great reminder to me to be thankful and not take people for granted. The Lord has placed so many wonderful people in my life and who better to start off with than the wonderful Oz Price (my hubby)!

1. I am thankful that Oz loves the Lord and is a Godly leader in our home. Just last Sunday on our way home from church he says "man I just love to go to church". I am so thankful I don't have to drag his tired bones out of bed every Sun morning begging him to take his family to church. I'll be honest, sometimes he has to drag my tired bones out of bed. I am not a morning person.
2. I am thankful that Oz is such a hard worker. I mean come on, who wants to get up before the sun comes up everyday and during football season comes home when the sun is going down! He NEVER complains about it and finds joy in his ministry. That is another thing I love is he always says it is not a job it is his ministry. So the other morning I hear him tell me goodbye, I love you, and a kiss and I look at the clock and it is 6:02. So I get up and lock the door behind him and watch him drive away in the dark and think boy how does he do this every day and then I crawl back in my warm comfy bed and pray over him and fall back to la la land.
3. I am thankful that Oz is not a complainer. I could make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches everyday and he would NEVER complain! He always tries to find the silver lining in everything.
4. I am thankful that Oz loves me...even when I'm grumpy! He always tells me I am pretty even when I haven't done a thing to myself all day (or 2). :) He rubs my feet and back whenever I ask or even don't ask
5. I am thankful Oz is a great dad. He is so loving and patient and gentle. He will always play games with the kids, jump on the trampoline, throw the football (this is a hard one for him)ha ha.
He changes diapers even stinky ones, gives baths, helps with the dishes,and even the laundry sometimes.
6. I am thankful Oz has such a tender heart. As many of you know he is not a man who is afraid to show some tears. Especially when it comes to football. He loves those boys and are so invested in them as players and young men. He always says it isn't about wins and loses it is about training boys to become men. His desire is to be successful on the scoreboard but most importantly successful in showing his players the love of Christ.

So after all of this great info about Oz Price......how can ya not love this man? I know I do....Love you Ozzie. Thank-you Lord for blessing me with such a wonderful husband, father, and friend!

There has been a lot of presidenti*l talk in our house lately. I find it funny b/c last presidential vote they were so small they didn't even know what a president was and now they have ideas of their own as to what a presid*nt should do. So yesterday as we were driving to church Campbell and Chloe were discussing what they would do if they were president. This is what they came up with.

Monday-Miniature golf day.

Tuesday-Bowling day

Wednesday-Chuck e cheese day

Thursday-Free shopping day (per Chloe I like this one!)

Then I ask what about Sat and Sun? Campbell says "do president's have to work everyday?" I said well,Yes. Oh-that is really hard work. Then Cam and Chloe decide everything would be free for them and everyone else would have to pay.

Cooper is not so super

My poor sweet Cooper is a little under the weather the past couple days. So yesterday I decided of course after my pediatrician was closed to get him checked out b/c he would not stop crying. Well come to find out he has a viral infection causing sores to form all in his mouth and throat. Bless his little heart. He is sooo uncomfortable and miserable. My little chunk won't eat and can't sleep. :( His favorite past times. The bummer of it all is that we can't do anything to help him but give Tylenol/Motrin.

So basically Cooper is crabby and mommy is starting to get crabby. But I am thankful that I have a fussy, sleep deprived, irritable baby to love!

Cooper, we love you and are praying that you feel better soon! I sure miss your smile!

I love to listen in on my kids conversations. I was driving the kids to Awana's last night and I see in the rear view mirror Chloe throwing her pencil across the back seat and cross her arms and then get the "Look"! Which the " Look " is her furrowed eyebrows/angry face. So I ask her what is wrong? And she tells me that she just can't get her memory verse remembered. And that one word is sooo hard it just keeps leaving my head. (the word was Thessalonians that is even hard for me to say) I just encouraged her to do her best and if she can't get it this week we will try again next Wednesday. Well, she stilled looked madder than a hornet in the backseat. So I keep driving. Then I hear Campbell tell her "That word is even hard for me to say but Chloe I know you can do it just keep practicing. Let me help you Matthew, Mark, Luke, John," etc....... then she cheers up and starts to say it with him. ( she had to say all the books of the New Testament) I was just driving and smiling and thanking the Lord for my precious children who do love one another and want to see each other succeed. I dropped her off to her class and told her I would pray she could do it and to just try her best.

Well, I picked her up from her class and she was so excited she was able to say it and even that hard word!

My new favorite thing to look at in my house! I found this architectural "P" photo at a cool little shop a couple months ago. I have been on the hunt for the perfect frame and way to display it. When mom was here she helped me search high and low. When I have a bee in my bonnet.......well lets just say Mom and I went to home goods like 3 times in 5 days! LOVE that place. So anyways there it was the funky green frame and then I saw the bird easel (love birds these days) and new that my search was over! Whew. right mom? Since I can't paint or really decorate in my current housing situation these small little things bring me such joy!

While mom was here we did a 1000 piece puzzle. It was sooo FUN. The kids enjoyed helping too. If you could imagine, Campbell would get a little frustrated with his lack of success at times and just try shoving a piece where it didn't belong. Where does his competitive nature come from? All week we would all just sit down and puzzle. It is so relaxing. We were glad we finished before mom had to leave.

It was so cute b/c mom actually cut out the picture of the puzzle from the cardboard box and then dumped the 1000 little pieces in a Ziploc bag and packed it in her suitcase. Now that took alot of thought and time. I wonder why I can't be more prepared when I travel..... then I remember I have to pack for 5, clean the house, and do the laundry before I can leave. My momma taught me well. Love and miss you mom! Come back soon.

Oz + Me + dinner - 3 kids = DATE NIGHT.....I'm there!

My mom so kindly advised Oz and I to go out on a date while she was here and she would babysit. Love free babysitting! So we went out to a nice dinner just the 2 of us. No sippy cups, no diaper bags, no crayons and paper, no chix nuggets to order, no crying, no fighting, no "I have to go to the bathroom, again".....just me and my Oz! We talked and talked without interruption. I love going on a date with my hubby. Don't get me wrong, I love my 3 kids but....a few hours of just the 2 of us is always fun and much needed (especially during football season)! Thanks mom for watching the kids and thanks Oz for taking me out. You are the BEST!

Mom and I (and of course Cooper too) went to Marietta Square to shop. The square is full of fun little shops and antiques. We had a fun day. We didn't even spend any money. Who says window shopping is no fun?
We were inspired by this blue brick wall so we had to take some pics in front of it. I love robins egg blue! It matched Coopers blue eyes so nicely.

Nana Deb is here! I picked up my mom from the airport on Tuesday and she is staying with us for 10 days. Let me say the kids (and I) are so excited. This week was grandparents week at the kids school so Nana Deb and I went to eat lunch with the kids on Wednesday and pass out Campbell's birthday treat. Mom and I made cute little cut out pumpkin cookies. They were a hit! Now I have tried a few times to make my mom's famous cut-out cookies but have failed...so I have given up. Well come to find out I was missing an ingredient on my recipe card....baking soda....duh no wonder why they never turn out! Enjoy a few pics of lunch...Cafeteria Style!

Today is Campbell's 8th birthday! Let me tell you the kid loves his birthday!(I don't know where he gets that from):) He talks about his birthday all year and tells us what he wants his next birthday party to be and what he wants.

Campbell's 8th birthday bash!

Friday night we had a tailgate birthday party for Campbell. He was able to pick 3 friends to come to Daddy's FB game and to sleep over. WOW boys sure do have a lot of hyper energy! I'm waiting with excitment at the bus stop for the boys to get off the bus and all of a sudden I see 3 screaming boys run right past me, up the sidewalk, and into the back yard to jump on the trampoline. Right then I was not sure what I signed up for! So I calmly go to the back yard and try to gently remind them of a few trampoline rules. Now I wasn't intending to spoil the fun but I didn't want to call any parents saying we were at the emergency room! I look out the back window and this is what I see........

I ask myself "do I remind them again or just get down on my knees and PRAY for protection." It is so hard to find the balance of just letting them have fun but helping them stay safe. Praise the Lord all went home today with no broken bones. Just 1 bleeding finger, 2 bruised heads, and alot of sweat and dirt!

So we get to the game and we have our little party on the practice field. The boys had fun running and playing football, eating some pizza and cupcakes, drinking pop(what was I thinking) check out this picture........

The boys had a great time cheering for the Chiefs. It was an exciting game. We went into double overtime and WON 35-34. We blocked the extra point! Yeah!!!! Here are some more pics of the game and my hubby coaching.......

We ended the night all tucked in up in the loft and watched a movie til they all fell asleep (finally at 1 am)

This morning good ole daddy got up at 5 am to pick up dunkin donuts for breakfast before he went off to work. Campbell told me this afternoon..."Mom this was the best birthday party ever! Even my friends told me so!" I love this boy. Well, I'm exhausted and ready for a nap!

Oz is now the defensive coordinator at Sequoayah high School so let me say he was pretty excited that our defense only gave up 7 points at the game Friday night. The score was 24-7 WE WON! Way to go Ozzie oh and the team too! :) Campbell is the ball boy and does a great job. I just love watching him run on and off that big field as fast as his little legs will take him. He has a blast and just loves being with his daddy. Chloe wants to be the water girl next year. We will see if that will be allowed. I love football season....cool crisp air, friday night lights, memories of Oz. I think I love football b/c it reminds me of Oz. I met him and we started becoming friends during football season. We always watched it on TV whenever I would visit him. I have to say....I did know what I was getting in to! He didn't hide his love of the game. I will be honest-I usually am ready for the season to end too. Basically I am a widow for a few months...dinner with 3 kids each night, baths for 3 kids each night, homework for 2 kids each night, I'm sure you get my point. I'm so thankful to have a helper again when the season ends! Thanks Ozzie!:)

Camera troubles

My camera is officially out of order.:( The lens is stuck and it makes a scary noise when I try to turn it on. Cooper just runs the other direction. Now my camera won't even turn on. So Oz and I was discussing that for my birthday (which is in October) I could get a new camera. I was explaining to him how that is a long time not to be able to capture precious moments of our family plus Campbell will be having a birthday this month and I can't not take pics of his birthday party, basically I laid it on pretty thick. So anyways we have agreed (thank-you babe) that I can get an early birthday present. So this week I will be on the hunt for a new camera. Does anyone have any suggestions as to a digital camera they would recommend?

The other day I was looking at Campbell's hands and they just seemed so big. His little chubby hands and fingers are but a memory. He has the hands of a boy...a growing boy. I also realized when he came up to hug me this morning before he went off to school how his head now reaches my chest when we hug. I remember when I was pregnant with Cooper and Cam would measure my belly by when he hugged me if his hands could touch each other.... he only reached to a little above my waist back then. He will be turning 8 in just a couple weeks! Wow I can't believe I have an 8 year old. He is such a great kid. He has such a great sense of humor, a very tender heart, wants to always please everyone, and a great big brother. He is alway saying "I love you Mom" or "Your the best Mom ever". Those words are so priceless. The Lord must of know I needed alot of affirmation as to my parenting skills! I'm so thankful for this little growing boy!

P.S. The kids are loving looking at our blog. Campbell was all upset that I had more pics of Cooper and Chloe than him. So I said I would blog about him next. We have to keep all thing even...don't we??? I reminded him that if he let me take more pics of him then I would have more to share with everyone. He hasn't ever really enjoyed getting pics taken. Maybe this will help him!:)

I think Cooper has really enjoyed his one-on-one time with mommy since the older 2 have gone back off to school. I just love this kid. To be very honest, there have been times when I wondered...now why did we have one more (don't ever tell this to Cooper)???? He just started off into this world with a chip on his shoulder. He was easily aggitated (MMMM Chloe), colicky, didn't like to sleep, he was hard to feed and on top of it all Oz gets a new job and we move hundreds of miles away from my parents who so willingly helped me calm this crying child. My dad would just take Cooper out on the porch swing and just talk with him and Cooper would just fall asleep. My Dad just loved this time with Cooper. Don't get me wrong about this moving thing. I am so happy here in Ga and God has been so good to us with our housing situation(for those of you who don't know it took 1 year for our house in Indy to sell so we have been renting from the kindest family in the world), our church (we love Pastor Hunt-FBCW), great friends through MBBC, our neighborhood, and church. We have fallen in love with where God has placed us and would really hate to move anywhere else. But anyways back to Cooper....he has come a long ways. He is such a happy and friendly baby always waving to people and he has the best laugh! He is a great little sleeper (even though he would not do the baby wise thing). Cooper is now 17 mos old and in to EVERYTHING! For instance the other day he is walking around with a knife in his little hand....not a butter knife a STEAK knife. He is so fast. I look away for a second and he gets into the knife drawer!!!! I never had to really baby proof my house for the older 2 but Cooper is his own little self. It has been fun watching the older 2 enjoy him. Chloe just LOVES him (almost to death). She just can't wait to love on him when she gets home from school. She loves to fill up his juice cup and feed him snacks. She is such a little mommy! Campbell loves to wrestle and play ball (dodge ball-Cooper being the target) with Cooper. Cooper just loves to hear Cam's voice and just goes running to him. I pray they will always be the best of friends and always look out for one another. When we found out God was blessing our family with 1 more we had just sold all our baby equipment, the other 2 were buckling themselves in their seatbelts, everyone was potty trained so we felt like we were back to square 1. But you know, Oz or I wouldn't have it any other way. We love this little boy to death and are so excited to see what God has planned for his little life. As I'm reading this-Little and Cooper don't usually go together. He is such a beast and started out a big ole 9# baby. You just can't help but kiss those chubby cheeks!:) God is so good.

Chloe got off the bus from school yesterday excited with the news that she is going to get a new 1st grade teacher. So this is how the conversation went......

Mom- so your getting a new teacher?
Chloe-yes
Mom-did you meet her?
Chloe-Yes
Mom-Well, did you think she was nice?
Chloe-she was really sweet- sweet just like me! Isn't that the perfect fit!

OK now this cracks me up. Now at home Chloe doesn't always show her sweet side (especially this morning when she informs me with her furrowing eyebrows that I woke her up to soon and she was not done sleeping, Oh and that I wasn't suppose to take her granola bar out of the wrapper b/c she doesn't like her hands to get sticky, Oh and I picked out the wrong socks to wear b/c they bother her. let me say it was a morning!-I prayed for her teacher today!) I'm so glad she was excited instead of nervous to be in a new class. She has been in school for 1 week so I guess she wasn't to attached yet. I can't believe we are studying for her 1st spelling test. Wow she is getting to be so big.
I took pictures of Chloe in this cute outfit the other day. She LOVED and wanted that hat so bad. She told me she didn't want to wear her daddy's football hats anymore and wanted her own. I bought it b/c she looked so cute in it. She had to wear it the rest of the day shopping at the mall. I'm so glad God gave me a little shopping buddy!

Baby dedication

On Sunday we had baby dedication for Cooper. Finally! We tried 2 other times and had to cancel due to Cooper getting sick. Good thing the outfit I bought him still fit!:) It was a great day. We had a special class for the parents and a nice luncheon after church. The class we took was awesome. Through the class I just felt tearful and overwhelmed. I was thinking God has given Oz and I these 3 precious children to raise and am I doing the best I can? Well, I am really trying hard but I can also improve in some areas. On what you my be asking--because I know those of you reading this may know my kids and say how perfect they already are!!!:)ha ha.
I was challenged on my relationship with the Lord and my relationship with Oz. These 2 relationships are the foundation of our family.
I need to be more consistent....especially with discipline. I find I give out to many empty threats. My discipline needs to always be an action and not a reaction.
I need to be a prayer warrior for my children. I want so bad just to know that they will always make the right choice, they will always be kind, they will always say please and thank-you. I can't always be right by them(even though I wish I could) but I can teach them what God's word says about these things and pray they will hide God's word in their hearts.
Parenting is a tough but rewarding job! "Nothing can bring you more grief then parenting. However, nothing can bring you more reward than parenting." This is so true and my kids are only 7,6, and 1. What does the future hold? Only God knows and I pray He will give us wisdom that only He can provide and place Goldy people in our lives to help us along the way.

Fun with Cousins

Last week we had the privelege of watching Steve and Jodie's (Oz's brother) 3 kids while they went to California. Yes, I survived. They were really good and we kept busy with little activities each day. I tried to take as many pics as I could but having 6 children..... pictures was the least of my priorities. I'm just glad everyone is safe and alive. We went to the lake, a movie, the pool, and the park. Here are a few pics of our week.

School Has Begun

I can't belive school has already begun. Campbell is starting 2nd grade and Chloe is starting 1st grade. They have grown up so fast! They were so excited to go back to school. Campbell was not to thrilled for me to be taking his pics. I think I was cramping his style and I was not the only mom at the bus stop to have a camera. I miss them today and have prayed for them alot. I must say it was much easier to grocery shop with only Cooper! Lord I pray you will protect Cam and Chloe from wordly influences. Thank-you that they both have made a decision to live for you. Please give them the courage to stand up for what is right. Let them be a light at school and show the love of Jesus.
